Au Cap

Season: May - September

This is my local spot and it offers great wave riding and flat-water riding conditions. Due to the orientation of the beach and lagoon we predominantly kite at this location when the South East Trade winds blow which is from May to September. The spot stretches from the Takamaka rum distillery (south side) all the way up to the ex Reef Hotel. At high tide the wave spot in front of the Asian Fusion Restaurant is on fire while at low tide the whole lagoon presents flat water conditions heaven for freestyle and free riding.

Anse La Mouche

Season: November - March

Anse La Mouche is a favourite on the island of Mahé during the North West Monsoon. With easy access and launching/landing from the beach this location is best for learning and for the kitesurfer that is still getting to grips with things. This Spot lends itself to a beautiful flatwater and sandy lagoon that will exhilarate any free rider out there. This is the spot to be at during the strong westerlies that blow from November through March.

Long Island (Mohana)

Season: May - September

The Long Island sandbank locally known within the Kitesurf community as “Mohana” is the most consistent and user-friendly kite spot during the South East Tradewinds from May to September. Offering mainly flat-water conditions this spot is known for its flat spot since the sandbar is oriented perpendicular to the wind direction offering oily flat water leeward of the bank. The spot is a must see and can be accessed by a 10 minute boat ride from Mahé, contact us here and we can organise a transfer to the spot.

Côte d’Or (Praslin)

Season: November - March

Located on the nearby island of Praslin, Côte d’Or offers excellent kiting conditions during the North Westerly Trade winds, this is one of the spots that is ideal for the foilers out there since the lagoon remains fairly deep and is not fringed by breakers. Other great attributes of this spot include a large beach making launching and landing easy. Deciding to visit the inner islands during your stay? we’ve got you covered, Côte d’Or is the place to be.

Grand Anse (Praslin)

Season: May - September , November - March

The only kite spot in the Seychelles with perfect kitesurfing conditions during the South East trade winds and the North West Monsoon. With its massive lagoon Grand Anse has it all to offer with great waves on the reef and perfect flat water on the inside. Another great attribute to this spot include the beach which sprawls long and wide making it easy to launch and land. Grand Anse is the home spot for the local kite-surfers and windsurfers on Praslin and if the wind is blowing they will surely be out there with you. Seasonal kite-surf and windsurf slalom racing events take place at grand anse between the months of May - September on an open to all basis so if you are here during these months feel free to join in on the eventful day.

Anse Source d’Argent (La Digue)

Season: May - September, November - March

Imagine Kitesurfing on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, now you can. Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue offers top class kiting conditions during the South East trade winds and the North Westerly Monsoon, with its crystal clear water and shallow reef you will be kiting over vibrant coral and seaweed beds. The spot offers both flat-water and wave-riding conditions, however it is tide dependant due to the lack of beach available at high tide therefore making launch and landing tricky but if you time it right with the mid tide you will surely have a blast on one of the top rated beaches in the world.
